Introducing Cisco Data Center Networking (DCICN)(6.0)

This new associate level course has been designed to introduce delegates to the three primary technologies that are used in the Cisco Data Center. The introductory level of knowledge that is taught in these courses is aimed at individuals that will be performing only the more basic configuration tasks. The labs will focus on viewing configurations, as opposed to making configuration changes or creating new topologies.


This course is intended for new engineers that will be operating in a Data Center environment. It prepares for CCNA Data Center certification.


Before attending this course, students should have:
  • Basic Computer Literacy
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System
  • Basic Internet Usage Skills

At course completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:
  • Describe how a network works
  • Configure, verify, and troubleshoot a switch with VLANs and interswitch communications using NX-OS software
  • Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP services to meet network requirements
  • Configure, verify, and troubleshoot routing operations on Cisco Nexus switches
