TSI1945 - Architecting Storage Performance with Hitachi Storage (TSI1945)

This 4 day course covers performance concepts and tools, design principles, storage-related equipment and applications, I/O concepts, storage configurations, assessment and planning, and design of storage solutions.

This course includes case studies that will allow learners to diagnose performance issues and provide viable solutions.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:

  • Describe performance design principles
  • Describe workload profiling
  • Identify metrics to be collected prior to configuring and sizing the storage system for performance
  • Describe best practices when configuring and sizing storage systems for industry-standard applications
  • Demonstrate how to configure and size Hitachi storage for performance
  • Describe tiered storage virtualization techniques using Hitachi storage systems
  • Use Hitachi optimization and virtualization tools
  • Use Hitachi monitoring and reporting tools to proactively monitor performance
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot performance-related problems

Required Knowledge and Skills
