Enterprise Network Core and WAN Essentials (ENCWE)

The Enterprise Network Core and WAN Essentials course is designed to ensure Cisco Channel Partner system engineers (SE) can provide technical pre-sales engineering services to customers, including presenting, implementing and demonstrating rich Cisco application experience  solutions such as Application Visibility and Control (AVC), Cloud Connector, TrustSec and Wide Area Application Services (WAAS).

Engineers involved in the deployment of Enterprise Network solutions and those looking to achieve Channel Partner Accreditation
 
Objectives
After completing this course you should be able to:
  • Recognize current Cisco Enterprise IP WAN technologies and the role of managed WANs
  • Describe technical overview of Intelligent WAN (IWAN) solution architecture, benefits and key components as well as its management
  • Demonstrate and implement the features that comprise an IWAN deployment, including IWAN deployment in relation to Cisco Prime Infrastructure, implementing Transport Independent Design, Implementing Intelligent Path Control with PfR, leveraging Application Visibility and Control (AVC) for application visibility, adding Hierarchical Quality of Service (HQoS) for application control, and IPv6 considerations
  • Implement and demonstrate the features of Cisco WAAS
  • Implement and demonstrate the ability to secure WAN connectivity from the branch
  • Implement and demonstrate the features of UCS-E with vWAAS, present the value proposition of Cloud Connectors as well as new Cisco Akamai Solution
  • Explain the main objectives of IWAN solution objectives, positioning, architecture, differentiators and use cases
 
Prerequisites
Attendees should meet the following prerequisites:
  • IP addressing and Basic WAN Routing Knowledge - ICND1 Recommended
  • Basic server knowledge (VM-ware, Citrix, Hyper-V)
 
Testing and Certification
Recommended as preparation for exam:
  • 500-452 - ENCWE - Enterprise Networks Core and WAN Exam
This exam is required for system engineers looking to achive the SE role requirements for the Advanced Enterprise Networks Architecture Specialisation
